I love bright colours and think that even the most colour-phobic of us can get behind the notion of a great pair of bright summer heels. It's a trend that works well from street style to red carpet, and can really make a statement with a little black dress. Asos have a bunch of super brights in their new in section and I wanted to break them down and say a few words about each one. The first are bright yellow twin-strap mules called Horizon.
ASOS HORIZON Heeled Sandals £38.00
They look fantastic with 7/8 length skinny jeans, but would also work with a dip hem dress for evenings. Gorgeous just-shy-of-neon colour and elastic on the upper strap for comfort. Really great if you find strapless shoes easy to wear as these are extremely flattering to the ankle.
ASOS HAMPTON Heeled Sandals £42.00
My personal faves. Pure bubblegum suede finished goodness, with a flat square cut heel for comfort and a chunky ankle strap. They will look beautiful with everything this Summer. If you only wear one colourful item in SS15, make it these heels.
ASOS PROMPT Pointed High Heels £38.00
You know my struggles with leopard print - and I can't say that I would ever wear these. I do appreciate that the bright colour trend will force through some items that I consider to be a little, shall we say, tacky... but hey, you might love them! The actual style and silhouette of the heels are beautiful, and if we could just get them out for me in a high shine crimson red then I would definitely be behind purchasing a pair.
