DRESS WEEK Mark 3 - featuring Victoria, Victoria Beckham Sleeveless Button Up Dress Black and Petrol

I don't feature a whole lot of Victoria Beckham designs here on Shoeniverse (although I do adore the denim) mostly because at the start it was all a little bit too 'copycat' of Roland Mouret for my liking. However, credit where it's due - this little dress is an absolute belter.

A sophisticated Victoria Victoria Beckham shift dress gets a hit of glamour with a shimmering lamé skirt.

For me, it's just crying out to be worn with the following:

Giuseppe Zanotti
Black Quilted Booties

Topshop
Black Airtex Knee High Socks

Lauren Merkin
Glitter Piper Cross Body Bag Pewter

Pyrus
Soft Grey Mongolian Lambskin Gilet

DRESS WEEK Mark 3 - featuring Petit Bateau Blue Striped Cotton Jersey Mini Dress

There is something delightfully crisp and timeless about nautical stripes, especially in well cut styles with boat necklines. This easy to wear long sleeved shift from Petit Bateau might just be your new favourite daytime staple.

The subtle pockets and the interesting change of direction on the stripes stop this from being 'just another boring striped shift' and elevates it to another level. It really does look fantastic. With more than 120 years of knitting expertise, petit bateau is our go-to for breton staples. Designed with classic cream and navy stripes, this cotton-jersey mini dress has chevron patterning at the sides to flatter your figure.

Try mixing in some colour and a pattern clash for an 'I didn't try too hard' daytime look for work. I want it all!

DRESS WEEK Mark 3 - featuring Paul & Joe Sister Multicolour Islande Dress Knit Print

Floaty knitted dresses are one of the key things that I stock up on during Autumn and Winter. I'm a huge fan of cashmere knits and easy shapes, and live in shades of grey and black for months on end. This cute little dress from Paul and Joe Sister puts a girlie twist on what is a wardrobe staple and I'd love to add it to my clothes for the coming months. You can pick it up at ShopBop if you love it too.

Grey Mer
Black Ankle Boots

Grey Mer
Beige Shoe Boots

Chloé
Beige Biker Jacket

DRESS WEEK Mark 3 - featuring Helmut Lang Sonarknit Asymmetric Gathered Dress in Vein (Red)

This beautiful bright scarlet red draped dress from Helmut Lang is straight from an All Saints wishlist lookbook! It reminds me of the Brogue dress which was then used by many Cosplayers for their own costumes for Amy Pond from Doctor Who. I bought the dress because I love it, rather than for costume purposes, however it must be said that I do wish it had the daring asymmetric hem of this red beauty.

Anyway, this is how I'd style this dress for every day:

Kate Spade
Lexy Double-buckle Ankle Boot Stone

Topshop
Blue Moto Bleach Spray Denim Jacket Mid Stone

Hue
Ribbed Opaque Tights with Control Top

Cambridge Satchel Company
13 Satchel with Studs Black

DRESS WEEK Mark 3 - featuring Alexander McQueen Black Knitted Jersey Dress

It's been a while since we had a Dress Week on Shoeniverse, so here we go again with my top five current season dresses that are simply too good to miss. This knitted jersey dress from McQueen is easy to wear and could be dressed up or down as well as layered over a skintight turtleneck. So cute - the bow just makes it an adorable style.

It's a fantastic length too - wear with ankle boots if it's warm enough for bare legs, and longer boots when adding tights.

Here's what you will need to style:

Joie
Olivia Over the knee Pointy Suede Boot

Wolford
Black Shania Tights

Temperley London
Black Honeycomb Jacket

Ann Demeulemeester
Red Tote

Shoeniversal Living - Dream Room Blogger Competition Entry: Win £750 John Lewis Vouchers!

This is a little bit of a departure for me, but it's all in aid of a fantastic competition that I found here. I have a huge passion (outside of fashion and shoes) for interior design and I always pick the colours and furnishing styles for each time we re-decorate a room.

One of the really neat features with John Lewis** is the ability to design your own fabric and legs which makes you feel like you had more of a handle in actually defining your own space. I love this and I found the tools online seamless to use and preview my choices too - really easy to browse and try out different options. Here are my picks as per the image above... (and wish me luck!)

1. John Lewis Barbican LHF Corner End Sofa from £2,200.00
2. John Lewis Barbican Armchair from £700.00

11. little home at John Lewis Robotica Fleece Throw £15.00
12. Lee Crew - Hyperspace Limited Edition Framed Screenprint, 87 x 74cm £385.00

Seeing as I have plans afoot to extend the downstairs of my house (which will involve removing a wall, having a big open plan living space and installing a new kitchen (phew!) then this competition appealed to me as it's something I genuinely need to consider. If you don't love furnishings and interiors then don't worry - we will be back to the fashion posts with Dress Week Mark 3 as of tomorrow!

** By the way I don't have any kind of affiliation with John Lewis and will make no money from any of the links above. I just decided to use John Lewis products as this is the retailer where the vouchers are for, and I genuinely enjoyed browsing the choices online so much that everything happened to be from there.
