HAPPY 4TH OF JULY! It's Bargain Friday featuring ASOS Blue Huntington Heeled Sandals

Happy 4th of July for the American readers of Shoeniverse - hope that you enjoy your day and these Giuseppe Zanotti patriotic shoe booties! For the rest of us it's just a Friday (but almost the weekend - yay! - and so I figured that a pretty summertime colourful bargain was in order. So I took a look at the ASOS website and found these little beauties.

Huntingdon is almost like a celebration sandal. I love the chunky block perspex heel and ankle strap, the colours and fresh and playful, and the overall look certainly appears much more impressive than the £40 price tag.

They remind me of candy and Northenr Lights for some reason! Super pretty and an absolute steal at the price.

So sweet - go on treat yourself!

This is How to do Evening Shoes by ALEXANDER MCQUEEN, featuring Gold Metal Chain Suede Sandal

You will have to forgive me. I need a moment. These sandals left me practically breathless.

I want to write every shoe cliché in the book. I want to band on about them being 'amazingly fierce' etc etc and you know what? It just won't cut it. What they are however is a prime example of why I love heels and footwear in the way that I do. There are great cheap examples of course as well, but when you see a pair of designer heels created with such love then I can but look on with love and slightly teary admiration.

They are beautiful. if you can add these to your shoe collection then just know that you are indeed a most lucky lady.

Gorgeous Work Heels featuring MOJO MOXY Dainty Dramaturge Heel in Tan

Typically it can be a hard sell to find work shoes to wear in hot weather. It's probably fine for most of us to get away with wedges or even flats for most of the time, but for when formal attire is needed then it can become a very real struggle to find footwear that is both elegant and practical. Nobody wants to spend their summertime covered in blister plasters!

These are reduced to under £40 and if you do have a job that calls for business-ready workwear then you do worse than invest in a pair. They are closed enough to look very formal, dainty enough wo look feminine, and the clever cutwork and nude tone should ensure an effortless cool and flattering finish.

I love the velvet ribbon tie. So sweet.
