PROM PERFECT featuring TAYLOR/SIOUNI & ZAR CORP. Black Premier and Dear Dress and my top 5 shoe picks

As soon as I saw this I figured that it was time for another graduation / prom dress post. It's from Modcloth, you'll get change out of £70, and best of all it sparkles. The neckline is even suitable for all bust shapes and sizes and you can't fall out of it even if you do get a little bit tipsy. I love this dress. Of course, I'd also wear it with Vans for daytime, but that's just me!

But for a formal event here's the Shoeniverse countdown of the pick of the heels to wear it with.

VALENTINO
Grey Rockstud Leather Kitten-heel Pumps

Grey patent and studs provide an unexpected footwear choice for evening, whilst managing to look immensely sexy even with a mid height heel.

MOSCHINO
Animal 105mm Cow Print Nappa Leather Pumps

Quirky girls will enjoy the attention grabbing features of these classic pointed pumps which sport a bold monochrome cow print and a metallic golden toe cap.

MISS L-FIRE
Finesse Is More Heel in Red

Another colourful and quirky choice which provide the ideal offset to the dark opulence of the dress. Perfect for vintage locing alternative chicks who want something a little bit different.

OPPO ORIGINAL CORP.
Pink It Malt Be Love Wedge

A sweet pink nude leg lengthening wedge is never a bad choice - you will look like you have supermodel proportions and for petite girls gain some extra inches of height.

ASOS
Practiced High Heels

Classic t-bar metallic shoes, much reminiscent of ballroom dancing sandals, perfect for dancing the night away and looking like a perfect dive as you do!

Summer brights featuring ASOS Orange Hold Out Leather Heeled Sandals

As soon as I saw the Hold Out sandals from ASOS it became immediately apparent that a feature on summer brights was going to be in order. These sweet orange/coral sandals in mixed media and finish look incredible with a tan and a bright scarlet red pedicure.

I adore the line of the heel and for a reasonably priced high street end shoe (they retail at just £55) the quality and finish stands up even to an extreme close up. Always a great sign. The tiny touch of pink on the edges of the toe strap had be sold.

So to get this look you will of course firstly need just the right nail finish. My personal favourite is The Boltons from Nails Inc because I love the metallic almost festive shine. It provides a delicious contrast against the matt leather toe strap. Perfect.

Then why not pair with some other toned down summer brights like muted turquoise, lemon or pistachio green? I love this simple little cross front dress which you can pick up for just £32 at Topshop.

Remember a muted colour clash when it's Summer, the days are long and skin has a golden glow is ALWAYS a fantastic idea. Don't be scared. You'll look amazing.

Summer Wedding Style with KATE SPADE White Izzie Sandal & ANN TAYLOR White Jackie Bow Sandals

Whether you are the bride, bridesmaid or a guest, you need to consider these amazing little heels from Kate Spade if you have a wedding to attend this summer. A sweet bow feature at the back adds ladylike flair to a flirty d'orsay pump styled with a peep toe and slender heel.

I think they would make an incredible wedding shoe with the right vintage style gown, but they are not the only bow ankle straps on the horizon. Also worth a look are these from Ann Taylor. Perfect if you like your bows on the side and slightly more oversized.

They are also in the sale and available for £146 rather than £223 for the Kate Spade version.

I adore simple wedding dresses, and this Balenciaga vintage gown is the epitome of effortless and simplistic style and construction.

It looks just as beautiful when worn also:

Remember we are still looking for brides and wedding parties to feature on Shoeniverse - if you'd love us to feature your style then don't forget to let us know in the comments and we will be in touch!
