Simple Luxury featuring GIANVITO ROSSI Aurelie Leather Sandals & ALEXANDER MCQUEEN Black Embellished Leather Box Clutch

I am off to The City of London today for a gig tonight and a day off with The Chap (woohoo) but I will leave you with these pretty lil' things to get you through Friday afternoon. It's almost the weekend, sweeties. Chin up.

Make an impact at cocktail hour in Gianvito Rossi's nude leather 'Aurelie' sandals. With a tough cuffed ankle and contemporary transparent front strap, they're a pair best shown off with cropped jeans and high hemlines. They would look amazing with a simple top and low rise shorts for evening. Just add a McQueen knuckleduster clutch bag and you're done.

Taking A Look At.... The Sarah Jessica Parker SJP Shoe Collection

I have to hope that a) you all had a fabulous long weekend, and b) forgive me for not featuring these little beauties before. I was of course a huge SATC fan back in it's day (who didn't love Samantha, seriously?) and I did love Carrie's fixation with shoes. So of course it's only natural that eventually the Manolo Diva Extraordinaire would launch her own shoe line. It feels more authentic and less cynical than most other celebrity endorsements, and you can see from the styles that these are very much styles that she herself would wear and conceptualise.

The colourful offering is reflective of Parker's feminine style, with grosgrain ribbon detailing featuring on every style - a reference to the actress's childhood. Styles range from elegant T-bars and metallic stilettos to suede flip-flops and espadrille wedges, with prices starting at $195.

"I've taken inspiration from things in my life such as the grosgrain ribbons I tied in my hair as a girl, to the flower accents from the Sex and the City wardrobe, to references to classic styles from the late Seventies and early Eighties," said Parker. "I'm a firm believer in quality and timelessness and have created this collection with the hopes that women will love wearing it for years to come."

The collection also features a selection of bags, as well as a trench coat designed to accentuate accessories. The Sex and the City star first announced she was launching her own line in June last year, choosing to collaborate with George Malkemus, CEO of Manolo Blahnik - the label that, as Carrie Bradshaw, she helped put firmly on the fashion map. **

My highlights from the collection:

#1 - Marlene

#2 - Lee

#3 - Carrie (of course)
