Shop The Outfit week 2014 - Day 5 - DATE NIGHT DREAM

Because we all love an excuse to get dressed up for a night out, why not try a stretch playsuit for comfort effortless and style? Pair with a neutral blazer and some sparkly touches for a look that will make you look amazing.

I love playsuits, and this outfit will make heads turn for all the right reasons. The bag is so very pretty! Would you wear this?

Shop The Outfit week 2014 - Day 4 - EDGY DAYWEAR

Say four this week features a funky twist on an everyday outfit, by picking pieces of interest but in a very neutral colour palette to keep it wearable. The standout being the pairing of the Valentino funnel neck cape jacket and the open toe wedge boots. Both pieces could look far too intense in red or another bright hue, but in a neutral beige it makes it easier to wear and also to appreciate the amazing attention to detail. The jumper is cosy and warm, as are the gorgeous little black leather gloves, and wearing all this with a well cut skinny jean in mid blue only adds to its credibility as a daytime ensemble.

If the styling is a little too edgy for your liking you can always swap the jacket for a biker or fitted zip style, and pair with regular wedge boots.

Shop The Outfit week 2014 - Day 3 - SHOP IN STYLE

Day Three of Shop the Outfit Week is a real Winter Warmer. It can be hard to feel elegant when out and about when it's very cold, and it's often even harder to be able to wear elegant heels without winding up cold and uncomfortable. I put these pieces together to show how you can easily make yourself stylish and warm even on the coldest of days.

The Karen Millen fur collared coat is one of my favourite pieces of the season, the cut is sublime and it has really feminine line. It's one of my favourite ever styles from Karen Millen in fact. Layer a dip hemmed jumper dress and patterned tights for extra warmth, and then I chose cherry red for a dash of colour.

I've always had issues regarding the acceptability of tights and peep toe shoes. I think when it's such an obvious statement look it can really work however. The Giuseppe Zanotti scalloped back mary janes are one of hie strongest styles for many months, and the large tote and splash of colour worn near the face will help stop your complexion looking dull in the post-Christmas climate.

If you'd like more details on any of the pieces featured above then check out the links below.

Shop The Outfit week 2014 - Day 2 - EASY EVERYDAY CHIC

This outfit is perfect for anytime really. I'd wear it to work, you could take it shopping, and it would even work as a cute winter date night outfit. The boots are probably my favourite piece of the entire ensemble, although pairing grey with leather is very much a wardrobe staple to me. You can't go wrong with cashmere for warmth and comfort when it's cold, and the cute little mesh insert tee from Valentino just adds more femininity and interest than a regular grey tee.

The bag of course it hugely self indulgent, being McQueen, although the coral pink looks amazing next to black and grey, and also adds a warmer tone which means the brown sunglasses work a charm, even if you only use them to keep your hair back on a dull day!

This outfit is very me. Is there anything you'd change? Or add? Let me know in the comments, and as always see below for shopping links if you want to buy any of the pieces above.

Shop The Outfit week 2014 - Day 1 - ALTERNATIVE COOL

Welcome to the first proper week of posts on Shoeniverse in 2014. I hope that you have all well and truly recovered from the Holidays and New Year celebrations, and now I'm back with a fresh new year of posts putting footwear forward first (of course) and with a lot of upcoming post format changes and exciting new developments for the coming year.

One of the things that I plan to do more of is the 'full outfit' post, which of course then can be bought as is, or hopefully will prompt readers to find their own alternatives to any of the pieces that I've suggested. I'd love to know what you'd change and any suggested 'budget' alternatives that you find for any of the more expensive pieces - so please do let me know in the comments and share your ideas with the whole Shoeniverse.

I picked this as my first outfit pick as it really is a self indulgent look at my personal style (plus some matching earrings as I only wear titanium labrets) and I thought what better way to start the week than with an outfit that I honestly love? The dress and tights are budget finds and you can get both for less than £15 - so even if the Lanvin and McQueen pieces are out of your budget, treat yourself to the two affordable finds and then pair with any biker boots or even a pair of coloured converse for a cute alternative look. I do adore the McQueen bangle and that Necklace is simply stunning, so take inspiration and add a chunky cuff or a silver brooch on a ribbon to get a similar end result.

The boots.... well, naturally these caught my eye a couple of weeks back and I have been dying to show them to you. Such a glossy finish and cleated sole with a heel - you knew that I'd love them, right? Boots like that stop the outfit from looking too contrived and like it's only suitable for evening wear. I personally wouldn't choose to wear pumps with this and it would have to be ankle boots all the way. These are my current 'top-of-the-wishlist-I-must-have-them' boots, so I hope you like them too.
