ORNATE FLORALS With a Liberal Dash of McQueen

I love this look, and even though the dress is a little more fancy than something that I would normally choose off the rack, by the time it's accessorised well then I think it's pretty striking.

The dress is a little bargain buy from AX Paris, which means that even if the designer accessories are out of your price range, they can easily be replaced with more affordable pieces. The key here is the blend of creamy neutral tan against the black and adding some colour accents pulled from the print. I picked the deep kelly green and the cherry red, however you could also pick out the purple if you prefer. I think the dress would benefit from the wide tan belt, giving it more of a structured and tailored looking silhouette.

The small touches of gold manage to look understated as they are by far the brightest tone of the whole style, but if a chunky ring's not your thing then this would look great swapped out for a wide cuff or a gold tone charm bracelet.

If you'd like to shop any of the pieces then start with the dress (this really is a key pick for Spring/Summer and would work well with tights and boots for now).
