TFNS - STEVE MADDEN Silver Darrt Mirror Pumps

These Madden heel sare down to just £36, and while they are not as bright a metallic as the TFL this week from McQueen, they are a suitable alternative - and a true bargain.

Here is how I'd wear them and recreate the look fo the TFL. All pieces are under £50 with the exception of the beetle brooch. The TFL Cavalli beetle is £33,000 however, so this one at £140 is still a HUGE saving on it's TFL counterpart.

Perfect Classic - MANOLO BLAHNIK Beige Tayler Patent Pointed D'orsay Nude

It takes just one look at the Tayler pumps from Manolo Blahnik to realise you are looking ta a classic. Perfectly pointed d'orsay pumps without a hint of a platform as is his signature, Blahnik continues to bring us timelessly elegant heels that will never go out of style.

I do want to team them up with a leather jacket and a rock vest, but also know how incredible they would be for evening. So here are my top two lustworthy looks for styling these beautiful heels.

Unusually Subtle - feat. CHARLOTTE OLYMPIA Green Eiffel Tower Sandals

I will begin this post with a confession. Not only did I almost overlook these as 'just another strappy sandal' - albeit one in a very pretty shade of soft emerald green - but had they not been labelled I would never have guessed these to be a Charlotte Olympia shoe. None of the signature details are on show here. There is no toppling skyscraper high heel. No golden inlaid platform. Yes we have a 'quirky' fetaure in the shape of the Eiffel Tower, but shown with such intense subtlety that you could almost miss it. I rather love the Queen of Whimsical CO, and am unsure if actually these are a little bit of a step back. They are really pretty, but do we actually want Christmas puddings and - dare I say it? - golden croissant embellishments instead?

Shockingly, I believe we do.

Having said all that, these do look really pretty when worn. I'd go as far as to say they are a great shoe. I just would hate to see Charlotte Olympia stop bringing me the unexpected.

Just add the following to complete your 'Paris themed' look:

PPP - feat GIUSEPPE ZANOTTI Pink Bouganville Suede Contour Platform Peep Toes

Holy hell, these are beautiful! I feel that we can now safely remove Giuseppe Zanotti from the probation list so long as he promises to give us more heels like these. I love absolutely every detail from the minimal styling and dainty ankle strap to the extreme platform and the rich deep pink shade. They are officially my new favourite GZ heels.

Wear with a matching dress and a simple black leather.

Alternatively pair them with one of these little beauties for an altogether more girlie end result.

Style Trial - feat SERGIO ROSSI Green Turquoise /Black Woven Leather Cap Toe Stilettos

It's as though Sergio Rossi & Giuseppe Zanotti have gone ahead and completed a course entitled "Why toecaps should always clash" just to mess with us a little. The turquoise and black combination is a winner. The deep red on the back of the shoe and heel? Well, I probably wouldn't have thought of it, but OK I can go along with that. But then to finish the style off with a salmon pink cap toe? Really, Sergio Rossi? Why?

This then leads on to some very confusing attempts at what on earth to wear with them. Case in point below. A-herm. Nice.

They are not as bad when worn, granted, but I struggle to think that no matter what you are wearing there is probably already another shoe in your shoe closet that would suit your outfit better than these. Disappointing SR. We shall keep our eyes out for further transgressions. Consider yourself on probation...

The Redemption - feat GIUSEPPE ZANOTTI Purple Platform Wedge Alien Sculpted Sandals

I love Giuseppe Zanotti enough to offer him a full chance at redemption for the earlier post, and so I bring to you the sculpted wedge version of the cross strap Alien sandals.

I hope this helps to calm all our nerves and remember just how amazing GZ shoes normally are. We do now have our little worried eyes out however - feel free to report any further sightings of ugly Zanotti footwear!

Style Trial - featuring GIUSEPPE ZANOTTI Brown Leopard Bootie

Oh dear me, we have seen some truly sinful designs in the past few weeks, but somehow I never imagined GZ to become one of the culprits. These shoes are just a little bit odd. The overall design, if in a single colour such as black patent (suede toe) or pewter high shine metallic (patent black toe) I would have fully embraced. But the mix of medias simply do not work for me. Leopard print, cobalt blue and then black straps? Really, Giuseppe? I'm sorry, but I do not approve.

The additional pictures do nothing to prove me wrong... If anything it makes the case even more damning, as the heel is a little bit.... odd too. *sigh*

Am I being overly dramatic here? Do you think they are actually amazing?

Sunday Supplement - feat DR. MARTENS Silver Pascal Boot

These are listed as 'silver' but they really do appear to have more of a pewter finish which is exactly why they made it as a special Sunday  mini-post on Shoeniverse. So shiny!
