TFL - (Wo)Men in Black - ALEXANDER MCQUEEN Suede Lucite Heel in Black

These are amazing and incredible to the point that I am almost speechless just looking at them. I am sort of happy I'm yet to meet them in person because I might just embarrass myself terribly and start weeping in the shop...

*ahem*

Having said that they actually combine a lot of things that I don't naturally like. Lucite heels can be pretty or can make me think of stripper shoes. I am not a great lover of black shoes, especially with gold accents, but put together correctly it's now proven that all of these elements can work beautifully. It only goes to show also that the Aquazzura Pina Colada heels from earlier in the week got it all terribly wrong.

Sadly these are not even remotely affordable, and will cost you £1170 if you do decide to make them yours. I do believe that they are a gorgeous example of how to combine lots of tricky elements into one spectacular heel. Love them!

Moody Blues - L.A.M.B. Blue Italia Leather

Aside from being utterly in love with the style of these shoes, the vibrant cobalt blue suede finish is just a joy to behold. They are the ultimate blue shoes! And there are loads of pictures too (very exciting!) which means that although I've not yet managed to meet them in person, I do feel like I know them already.

Ready for more prettiness?

I don't know about you, but I find them amazingly beautiful. Surprisingly they are £163 at Heels too, meaning that while they are above high street heroes pricing, they do manage to make themselves fairly affordable (even if you might need a month or two to pay them off afterwards)!

The Late Night Shopping Post - Mad for Monochrome

I wanted to show you my monochrome picks from the Shoeniverse Lyst as it's THE trend for the Summer. Presuming if we ever get any warmer weather of course - or indeed if you are jetting off to sunny climates on holiday - here are my pick of the best monochrome buys to ensure you stay in perfect style no matter where you are (and without breaking the bank)!

THE "SIMPLE UNDERSTATED PERFECTION" BIKINI

Who wouldn't love this bikini? A classic monochrome stripe string bikini will ensure you look cool calm and gorgeous whether you are on the beach or soaking up the sun by the hotel pool. Huge style points all around, plus the cut is super flattering.

THE "WEAR IT WITH EVERYTHING" RING

Regular readers of Shoeniverse will of course know how much I love the Amexander McQueen brand, in particular anything with the skull designs. This affordable bangle will give any simple outfit an instant injection of designer style and the monochrome trend, whether you are wearing a vest and jeans or a shift dress. Just perfect!

THE "TAKE IT EVERYWHERE" BAG

It's hard to fault this bag - and even better it's on sale, so if you are saving your pennies for a break away, this is an amazingly affordable way to add some monochrome flair to your existing wardrobe - and you can pick it up now for just £20! Wear with a pair of bold oversize black and white shades for the ultimate in chic cool.

THE "BIG, BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL" STATEMENT SUNGLASSES

If you want to make a clear statement with your accessories then these beautifully bold House of Holland sunglasses might just be what you have been waiting for. Wear them against black or a rich colour like lipstick red for a splash of colour to offset the bold black and white. Don't forget your Chanel blood red lippie and wear these gorgeous sunnies with confidence.

THE "INSTANT CLASSIC" ELEGANT HEELS

Of course this is Shoeniverse, so we can't have a whole post go by without featuring at least one pair of gorgeous heels, and I may have just saved the best until last. These stunning ostrich leather square toe pumps from Emilio Pucci are the epitome of sophistication and chic footwear. Wear them with everything and anything from jeans to wiggle dresses and wear the monochrome trend with effortless style.

This post has been entered into #THEITLYST competition on Lyst. Wish me luck!

Purple Rain - JIMMY CHOO Purple Walsh Glitter Ballerinas

These sparkling flats from Jimmy Choo are such a bright and cheerful colour that I almost (almost!) forgot my disdain for all things purple. I think however that magenta is a perfect Summer colour, and seeing as we have forgotten about flats thus far this week it's only fair that we tackle some in a colour that's notoriously tricky for me.

Of course, thanks to Jimmy Choo's Walsh flats, that's as simple as can be as they are so so very pretty!

The perfect injection of feminine fun into your SS13 footwear wardrobe - let me know if you love them too! What would you wear them with?

Clear as Day - CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN Gold Icone A Clous Sandals

The transparent selection for my SS13 picks comes from Christian Louboutin and is unfortunately yet another sold out style. There is also a silver version, but actually, unusually for me, I preferred the gold ones in the Icone á Clous style. They are in fairness, pretty special.

Do set up a stock alert if you love them and you will get an email as soon as they come back in stock. You originally could buy them at Barneys for £618, so hopefully if you do really love them (and yes they would make truly unforgettable wedding shoes) then I do hope you manage to get yourself a pair. Good luck!

Flirty Florals - CHARLOTTE OLYMPIA Multicolour Floral Ava Pump

I can sometimes struggle with wearing floral shoes, and so the decision to feature a floral shoe in colours week was a particularly tough decision. Firstly, of course, I do realise that 'floral' isn't a colour but rather a finish, and secondly because the ones I've chosen are now sadly sold out. I do believe that floral shoes have a firm place in the SS13 shoe portfolio however, and a style like Ava from Charlotte Olympia is a perfect way to inject some Summer fun into any outfit.

Floral shoes can sometimes feel a little bit washed out and apologetic, so these pumps are particularly appealing to me with their juicy bold colours and pattern. They are also an amazingly beautiful style of pump in their own right, and so even though they are now sold out (you can set up a stock alert if you click through however) they very much deserved to be part of the Shoeniverse story!

You are Gold! (Gold!) - AQUAZZURA Gold and Black Pina Colada Sandal

You know, I think I might have to blame Charlotte Olympia for this! These sandals are not my style, like at all, but I really wanted to show off their utter madness on Shoeniverse. They are the golden contingent of the colours week here on Shoeniverse, and are inspired by a rather lovely cocktail. Sadly in this instance, I'd pick the drink above the shoes...

I mean... what can you say?!! In all of the years I have spent coveting shoes and studying the work of various designer's careers, I have never once thought to myself "...those would be so much nicer if they just had a gold pineapple at the back"!

No matter what I do I simply cannot open my heart to let them in and love them. They are also spectacularly tacky for me as gold and black together is a tricky thing to balance and I don't believe that Aquazzura has managed that here. They look like some relic from the 1980's that should be thrown back into the time capsule hopefully never to be found again!

Do you agree or will these sandals make your summer holiday go with a sizzle?

Grey Skies Be Gone! - CARVELA KURT GEIGER Grey Gail High Heel Sandals

These were just too good a find to not feature them this week. I know I've already covered silver so featuring an *erm shall we call them metallic grey?!!* shoe is perhaps a little bit cheeky, but these gorgeous sandals are down to just £25 in the current Kurt Geiger sale. Genuine Carvela style for £25 should never be ignored. For long Summer evenings, or again for holiday evening and dinner shoes, these are an absolute steal!

These are lovely and you might even get away with wearing them into the office as well so long as you don't have too far to walk. No matter what it's harder to not justify buying them than it is to actually find a reason to have them! Sizes are limited however so if you do want them, be fast!

Green with Envy - H&M Bright Jade Suede Slingbacks

H&M are a brand I never really use on a personal level. If you ever wish to know the details of my own personal issues with their online transactions and my own issues with this then I will be happy to comment privately, seeing as it has nothing to do with the quality of their goods. So whilst I don't personally shop at H&M, it's hard to deny that for just £34 for a real leather high quality sandal is fantastic. Take them on holiday with you for the evening meal times and dress up a jersey LBD or shorts and tank with no real effort at all.

Plus if you don't love the green they are also available in black and nude (see below).

I especially love the waffle effect upper - best seen on the green and beige. If you do want a pair of these, or indeed all three - please be fast as I don't think they will hang around for long at this price.

Juicy Orange - ALEXANDER MCQUEEN Orange Wedge Sandal

If you are lucky enough to have money to burn on your holiday wedges, then you might prefer to plump for something more like these citrus wonders from Alexander McQueen. They really are the most summery and bright wedges imaginable.

I love the colour, the little studs and the fluid curves of the raffia wedge too. If you are in the market for some designer summer shoes with a budget in the region of £384 then head over to Far Fetch and snap these up while you still can - and enjoy!

Peachy Pink - STEVE MADDEN Pink Espadrille Wedge

Pink wedges are an easy and flattering choice for warm weather, plus when the colour is soft they can be worn with many colours, making them a fantastically versatile choice for taking on holiday. When they also feature a raffia wedhe, a cute crochet finish top and they are on sale from Steve Madden, they become practically irresistible! They can be yours for just £37 at Nordstrom - a complete bargain.

A perfect summer staple at a fantastic price - go get them while they are still available if you like them!

Red Nautical - DOLCE & GABBANA Red Striped Linen Slingbacks

I love these gorgeous little slingback sandals from Dolce é Gabbana because they are both wearable and classically stylish. Wear them with shorts and a vest and you are ready for the day with effortless style.

You can buy them from My Theresa, and I guarantee that if you do add them to your shoe collection for SS13, you will end up neglecting some of your other summer shoes and sandals in favour of these cute cherry red and vanilla striped cuties.

Silver Stunners - BALMAIN 100mm Silver Patent Leather Pumps

I wanted to feature a silver shoe without any obvious timestamp. I didn't want to have much fuss, or a particular platform or toe shape and pick something that, while certainly an investment in terms of cost, they will be a real investment if you add them to your shoe collection. They are a beautiful classic example of how to handle metallics and make them utterly breathtaking.

I hope you like them as much as I do. If I could choose any metallics this SS13 it would be these - absolutely perfect!
