You might remember the Carvela Galaxy pumps in silver glitter which I was enthusing about a little while ago. The pictures, sadly didn't do the shoe justice (they are amazing in real life) and back then they were of course full price at £110.

Fast forward a few months and you can now pick up the more wearable black fabric version for half price at just £55. If you click through to view the black but want the silver it's there too - also now half price!

If you like your Miu Miu glitter flats, your funky coloured oxfords and your spangly brogues, then chances are you are going to love these completely over the top gold leaf brogues from Maison Martin Margiela. They are going to be noticed however, no matter how you choose to style them, so remember avoid them unless you have the confidence needed to wear them.

Oddly enough, I love them worn with casual wear. I initially I thought of a trouser suit but actually they are rather fun when dressed down.



If you are a lover of statement flats then these should be a part of your shoe collection. I shall keep my eye out for a pewter pair, and then I think I would be sorely tempted to invest in a pair!

GIUSEPPE ZANOTTI Pink Alien Patent Sandals

One of the most appealing things about these shoes, aside from their obvious sculpted spike heel and pretty cutout vamp and heel, is the brushed suede footbed. It looks really soft! Odd I know, but it looks much more comfortable than some shoes with an almost slippery metallic finish to the insole.

Anyway, now that we have fully discussed my *ahem* preference for comfy non slip insoles on shoes, let's take a closer look at these pretty little sandals. I have long since loved these in liquid metallic finish and black, but it's only now that I have finally seen them in this pretty blush pink that I decided to bring them to Shoeniverse.



Surprisingly they look incredibly high because of the angle, but actually they sport a heel height of 130mm. It is the back view that steals the show though - as is often the case with Giuseppe Zanotti's most fabulous designs. I think it also holds the key to their rather unusual name...



You can wear them for daytime too - just style them with simple classic pieces like the ones below:

BADGLEY MISCHKA Pink Adonis Ii High Heel Sandals

If you are looking for a bridesmaid shoe to make your friends squeal when you pick them then you can't go far wrong with the pink Adonis sandal from Badgley Mischka. They are so pretty and can be worn either as a neutral with a deeper colour or to compliment light peach and pink tones. Gorgeous!



They are also very much wearable for evening afterwards too, so they are a better investment for bridesmaids shoes than some. They could even be worn for the bride too if white shoes feels like too much.

This might just be the sweetest little bow I have ever seen atop a pair of shoes. The shape is adorable and it owes much also to the silver iridescent metallic finish.

That being said it's now time for the side shot, and I warn you here they are mid heel and very retro, so they won't be for everyone.



I am so torn when it comes to these shoes. I want to love them actually - the mint green upper is feminine and pretty and I want to feel like Jackie Kennedy and look fabulous in them. Sadly I don't believe I could pull them off, but if you are a vintage diva then these could be perfect to add to your shoe collection.



In fairness, even with a really short 60's length summer dress they do look pretty fabulous.

CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN Neon Pink Lady Peep 150 Platform Pumps

We featured the Lady Peep in pink way WAY back as the very first TFL post in September 2012. Back then however the colour was very different, more of a signature pink as opposed to these bright beauties that immediately make me think of flourescent highlighter pens!



Neon colour aside, they remain one of my all time favourite Louboutin shapes, and I might even endure the 1980's flashbacks (the decade that style very much did not show up to) to brave wearing these. Having said that wearing them could prove tricky, so let's style them with a K.I.S.S and let them shine.

VALENTINO Beige Embellished Butterfly Leather Sandals

I love the idea of flat sandals, but I can and often do struggle to wear them. I see them on other girls and they look light and breezy, effortlessly comfortable etc etc,. Me? I put them on and then spend the day feeling short (despite being 5ft 7) and dumpy and wishing I had worn wedges instead. I'm sure they don't look dramatically different on me than on anybody else, but they are a style that I can struggle to feel pretty in.

These beautiful Valentino butterfly adorned ankle strap sandals are however about as pretty as they come.



So in my styling head the following is how I would style them, albeit for somebody else, because no matter how pretty they are I am fairly confident that I would only wear them in the evening on holiday to avoid a mishap when staggering back from an all inclusive open bar!
