Let's just start with the crazy shall we? Because when I was researching beautiful red sole styles to show for Viva Louboutin week on Shoeniverse I was initially worried that there wouldn't be enough variety to cover a whole week. I then came across the Sakouette spiked satin loafers and was utterly gobsmacked. In fact, veven writing about them now, I'm still not really sure what to think of them. They feel a little bit Christian Lacroix, and they are too loud for me, but the actual flat shoe itself with the spikes across the front - beautiful. If they were in a plain rich cherry red satin then I would be deeply in love and coveting these flats. As it stands though I'm just unsure who would actually wear them.

I'd love to know your thoughts on these, and even better what you might wear with them? I couldn't get any further than a plain top and black jeans - this is surely the only way to successfully style these shoes?
