Here's how to enter!

1) First design your shoes in Upper Street's Shoe Designer

2) Save your design to "My Collection" (you will need to register with Upper Street to do this)

3) Use the "Send To A Friend" button in My Collection to email your design to shoeniverseblog@gmail.com . Please include the following in your message: your name, email address & the name of your shoe.

The closing date for submissions is midnight GMT Saturday 12th January 2013 and only one entry per person is allowed.

Shoeniverse will shortlist their favourite 10 shoe designs on the Shoeniverse Facebook page, and publish this on Wednesday 16th January 2013. The design that gets the most Likes by midnight Friday 18th January 2013 will be judged the winner. Very quick final post for the week before I go and start preparing for the competition where you - yes YOU - can walk away with your very own pair of custom shoes courtesy of Shoeniverse in association with Upper Street. For some reason, as much as I had these shoes saved to show to you, in my head I keep thinking they are from Jimmy Choo. They have a certain 'Choo' feel to them for me, and even when I went to get the details and images ready I still was surprised to see they were Alexander Wang. What there most certainly are is beautiful, elegant, classic and completely timeless.





They are not as expensive as some past The Friday Luxe posts either. They are certainly not high street budget as they come in at just over £300, but they are certainly not into the thousands like some of the sparkling Louboutins for example. They rare a key staple investment type of a shoe if you are able to grab yourself a pair.

These fresh little mint green pumps are a breath of fresh air amidst the sea of brown and black footwear in Winter! I adore the colour of these shoes and the curves are pretty damned sexy too.



They scream summer ans pretty little floral dresses (or even Spring.. I would totally just take Spring at the moment)!



They make a gorgeous colour pop against nudes and would also work really well against charcoal grey or dark wine or navy blue.

Plated heel silver sandals by Giuseppe Zanotti in pewter and silver

Yes it's taken me until the 2nd day of regular posting, but you knew it wouldn't be long before Giuseppe Zanotti popped up on Shoeniverse in 2013.



They are gorgeous, minimal front and very subtle for a GZ style, but really these heels are all about the heel plates. Let's take a look...



Not only do we have an amazing super slim metallic stiletto (and so shiny too!) but the split heel plates which are riveted on to the heel of the shoe just look amazing. You know what it immediately makes me think of? It made me think of the George Michael 'Too Sexy' video (featuring a young Tyra Banks no less, and Linda Evangelista) plus a gorgeous robot costume courtesy of Thierry Mugler (who also directed the video).

These shoes would have looked fierce as hell with that outfit! So for anyone who thought that Lady Gaga 'invented' the robot chick look in Paparazzi then please see below (oh and a cameo by Julie Newmar!).

Anyway, back to the shoes!



These are beautiful and simple. and would surely appeal even to those ladies who are not usually a fan of Giuseppe Zanotti.

These shoes, needless to say from looking at them, come from Charlotte Olympia.

Poodle heels. Of course.

I am speechless! What do you think? On the positive I like the little heart charm on the strap... but these cost more than £1100... WOW.

Karolina pumps with bow front by Kate Spade New York

I spotted these over at Nordstrom, and not only due to the design and the gorgeous little metallic bow, but also the array of pretty colours, knew they had to be featured on Shoeniverse.

The pretty green above is called Seafoam. They also come in a gorgeous off white called porcelain:



The porcelain would make a beautiful bridal shoe. They also come in a sweet candy pale pink:

Now, it's unusual for me to start a post with a 'when worn' shot of shoes, as generally speaking I like to show a close up of the different views and features. However some styles demand that the 'on the foot' picture takes precedence, and such is the case with Patience by ASOS.

There are so many things to love about these shoes though. I am very taken with the wedgewood / airforce blue upper. I'm not sure that I have ever had a pair of shoes or boots in this shade, but much like mid coloured denim, these could work with so many things. They are extremely versatile and due to the high platform should also prove fairly wearable.

These sweet little magenta heels are from Moschino and are in the sale at Saks, where (if you like them) you can make them yours for £107, discounted from £356.



They are so cute, but obviously are really all about the back heel detail with the metallic panel and the heart cutwork detail. Very Moschino.

My send off of 2012 comes in the form of these gorgeous hot PPP slingback platform heels from Kurt Geiger.

In so many ways these shoes epitomise why I love shoes to much. No they will never change the world, they won't make a bad situation instantly better, nor can they cure disease or end wars. But sometimes they do just make your day, and anything that does that in life is to be cherished for the glints of happiness that it brings.



Miley is a beautiful shoe. It also comes in a nude metallic and a pewter gunmetal finish metallic if the pink's not your thing. They were originally £140 and usually retail even on Shoeaholics at over £70, but are part of their £49 promotion, so if you want to grab them, this would be the time.
