FNBA - Friday Night Bargain Alert - Kathryn by Rachel Bilson at Stylistpick

I like the Rachel Bilson shoes at Stylistpick. Not only are they more classic than many of the Cheryl Cole styles, they are also created by Steve Madden, and these nude pumps are very Louboutin Pigalle - without the hefty price tag.

icon

Simple and understated, works with anything, whilst lengthening and flattering your legs. And all of this for just £50.

TFL - The Friday Luxe featuring Vero by Jimmy Choo

icon

Oh Jimmy Choo, how well you know me. You understand my need for timeless glamour, my love of Chanel and classic styling, and my flirty relationship with metallics and piping. Then you created this shoe to taunt me with!!!

icon

Seriously though, aren't these simply beautiful? These could not have been made any better - not only are they Dream Shoes, they are simply perfect!

Poser Peep Toes by Miss KG Kurt Geiger at Republic

icon

If ever there was a shoe to prepare us for this week's beautiful The Friday Luxe (TFL) coming up later this afternoon then this is it! These are new in at Republic and will cost you just £75. This definitely qualifies them for High Street Hero status!

The crystals really do make these otherwise quite standard looking black platform slingbacks a very statement look - and so wearable too.

Fabrizia Ankle Biker Boots by UGG at Schuh

icon

The rainy wintry weather has made me look longingly at all the new comfy looking boots in the stores, and one of my favourite comfy warm footwear brands is of course UGG. For somfort and workmanship they are unsurpassed, and these don't look at all like an UGG boot - which for some of you I am sure will be something of a relief. They are of course full leather however with a sheepskin insole to keep yout feet warm and cosy. I also happen to think they look absolutely beautiful.

If you would like to make them yours, you will find online at the Schuh website - and get FREE delivery.

Ben 2 Ballet Pumps with Contrast Trim by Carvela Kurt Geiger

These are cute and sugary sweet, the perfect antidote to big clompy biker boots. These make me think of Audrey Hepburn and Chanel.

icon

So ridiculously classic it's untrue - if you are looking for a new pair of ultra girlie pumps to see you through until Spring, you would be hard pushed to find a better looking pair than this.

Sizes are selling out fast so be quick!

Scorpion biker boots by Carvela Kurt Geiger

icon

Yes biker boots are a weakness of mine, as you know, and it's always nice to see some that just look beautifully different than your average boot. Such is the case with Scorpion from Carvela.

Simple and classic, yet with fiery winged eagles too and double buckles, I would love to add these to my collection sometime soon. You can find them on the official KG website if you love them too.

Star Embellished Bow Courts by Miss Selfridge

A little bit of Miss Selfridge to kick off Thursday with a nice little high street bargain? I think so. These are new in and very much going to be seasonal party shoes for some of you. I think that these should get automatic inclusion into the Shoeniverse High Street Heroes Hall of Fame!

icon

As far as dressy high street heels, they are pretty much flawless, and would work with any colour of evening dress too - result!

icon

The huge platform and heel will add plenty of height, and I think you will agree that they look a lot more like a shoe that costs at least twice this price!

icon

The bow, naturally, is the star (pardon the pun!) of the show, and just sets them apart from every other black suede platform court on the market. Very sweet - another triumph for Miss Selfridge in the shoe stakes!

Mixed Jewel Encrusted Peep Toe by Karen Millen

Yes I am sticking with Karen Millen for another post, but when you see the detail on these sweet pumps, you will see why I just had to show them to you!

icon

Seriously, how cute are they?

icon

The grosgrain fabric upper is literally smattered with an assortment of gems in different shapes and sizes, and the subtle platform lends a little extra height without ruining the line of this very dainty little shoe.

These are new in and I wouldn't imagine they will be around for long!

Orange Colourblock Ankle Straps by Karen Millen

icon

These are very very nice, and remind me a little of the Zara heels that I missed this summer.

icon

The orange / nude / black combination is gorgeous, and I love the sweet little flared heel tips too.

Allium Swarovski crystal encrusted sandals by Gina

icon

Mmmhmm - yes yes YES! These golden sandals are perfect - and literally covered in beautiful sparkling Swarovski crystals. Stunning!
icon

I can't say much aside from 'Wow' and making swooning motions over these shoes, and I am sure you are much the same! Featuring a cross-over strap front and buckle fastened ankle strap, Gina’s Swarovski crystal encrusted Allium sandals are the perfect choice to complete occasionwear.

Astrid moon and stars ankle straps by Charlotte Olympia

Yes it's whimsical designer shoe time, so time for a bit of Charlotte Olympia - and by her standards these are actually pretty subtle.

icon

Yes they have moons at the heels, and the little ballet-pump style leather bow has sparkly stars on the ends, but when you compare them to Masquerade for example, they are actually quite tame - and cleverly quirky as opposed to being a bit OTT. I actually adore the thought of these as evening shoes.

icon

The teeny crystal buckle is also a lovely touch and just shows the attention to detail that's been put into making these shoes.

If you would like to wear the starry sky on your feet, then you will find these at Harrods website, and get the glittering moon and stars on your feet in these stand out shoes.

Guest Post - A Quick And Easy DIY Soleful Makeover

I am opening up occasional guest blogging oppoerunities, and when Jill from The Shoe Whore approached me, I loved her idea so much that I am opening it up as an occasional feature. So if you would like to write something similar and be featured on Shoeniverse then email me and let me know!

A Quick And Easy DIY Soleful Makeover

That coveted red sole *sigh*. You know what I’m talking about. It just screams class, comfort, and of course, the dolla dolla bills; the infamous Louboutin shoe bottom.

Sadly, not all of us can shell out thousands on shoes but if you are a savvy saver, why not create it yourself and hold onto some of that hard earned money of yours!
Not interested in red soles? Well, fret not DIY divas, I’ve got a few more soleful makeovers you can try!

A great way to makeover an old pair of shoes is to buy some paint or dye and try something new. Just like your hair, a little colour can make a really big difference.

The process is easy:

1. Start by cleaning your pair of shoes. If you plan on painting the under-sole you have to make sure there’s not dirt or grime that is going to prevent the paint from going on smoothly.

2. Once those babies are all cleaned up, grab a clear primer and go over the entire area you want to paint. Primer will help the paint to stick and give the shoe a better over all look.

3. It’s a little on the slow side but the shoes need to dry so grab a movie, some dinner, hang with some friends, just be sure you let them fully dry before moving on to the next step.

4. You’ve picked out your colour so now it’s time to trade in those oldies for a new, hip look. Paint the primed shoe and re-apply coats depending on your preferences.

5. A word to the wise, leaving your shoes overnight to dry will ensure they are fully dried and ready to hit the town in!

If painting isn’t really your thing, or you already have a pair of shoes that you love but just want to add a little sumpin’ sumpin’ to, how about bedazzling or bejeweling.

Now, I am fully aware that the term “bedazzle” can often be synonymous with tacky, but I’ve got a great way for you to add a little sparkle to your shoe and still come off classy.

You may have noticed that spikes are huge this season. I’ve seen them all over the UK, Italy and even North America is catching on.

And a good spike here and there can seriously add some personality to an otherwise boring pair of shoes.

Wanna get the look for less? Here’s what you need:

- Spikes, which you can find at any arts and craft store
- Glue Gun
- Your creativity!

Then just follow these quick and easy steps:

1. Be sure that your shoes are clean. Like priming your face before makeup, a clean surface always turns out better.

2. This look is best when you focus on the back of the heel, rather than the entire shoe, but by all means do what you please. Use your glue gun to apply glue to the backs of the spikes and then place firmly in position on your shoe.

3. If you want those babies to stick, I suggest step 3 is to hold those spikes firmly in place until the glue starts to set.

4. Continue your design and once it’s all finished, it’s time to take a nap, do a chore, or have a big ol' glass of wine because those shoes are going to need time to dry.

If spikes aren’t the look you’re going for, try colour jewels or rhinestones; whatever your little heart desires. That’s the best part about a DIY; you can personalize it to your taste, all while saving that cash money!

Et voila, two quick and easy DIY tricks to give those old soles a hot new makeover! So what are you waiting for? Get to struttin'!

Couture slingback sandals by Valentino

icon

I was so happy to see these, new in at Harrods this week, because it gives me yet another excuse to feature the beauty that is the Valentino 'Couture' bow.

icon

Yes there is a sandal version now, albeit with a thicker heel and some subtle colour blocking, but these sandals are seriously hot, and still feature the gorgeous origami 3D bow that we have come to love from the pump and d'orsay versions of the style.

icon

I really love the double platform with the concealed one popping out in a pinky beige, matched by the back of the heel, exposed by the new slingback, and the thicker heel makes these much more wearable too - they could actually do you for a day's shopping.

Jem Open Toe Sculpted Wedges by Giuseppe Zanotti

By now of course regular readers of Shoeniverse will already know of my love with Giuseppe Zanotti - and the Jem sculpted wedges in red suede are just adorable and very much needed to be featured!

icon

Look at those curves! Utterly amazing design. Plus the barely-there ankle strap is so delicate and the colour of the suede is so rich, I really have trouble thinking how you could possibly improve upon them.

Mable High Heel Evening Pumps in silver and black by Badgley Mischka

icon

These shoes have the wow factor, and they also come in my favourite shoe colour - silver. They have just about everything you could want in a shoe as well. They succeed in being beautiful, girlie, classic, quirky and wearable all at the same time. No mean feat. They also come in black too if you want a darker tone (pictures below) - but before we look at them in black, let's take a look at the obligatory BM side view and admire the stunning d'orsay curves.

icon

I love these shoes, so stunning.

If you love them also - and really what's not to love, then you will find these in the new in section on the Bloomingdales website - click through any of the images to see the details.

Competition time - Next’s Seven days of Shoes Competition #NextShoeCompetition

Giveaway: Next’s Seven days of Shoes Competition #NextShoeCompetition

This post is a competition entry to the Next Competition from TheHiFashionSite - which features seven gorgeous pairs of shoes from the current collection available at Next.co.uk, as well as what I would style them with from their current clothing pieces.

The current collection has a lot of beautiful and very reasonably priced heels with a lot of nudes and blacks, which look equally as good with a colour pop jumper and well fitted skinny jeans, as a simple black dress with statement jewellery.

Evedagger Golden Sparkly Pointed Toe Pumps by Stuart Weitzman

If you are in the market for something a little bit sparkly and special then these these Stuart Weitzman evening pumps have lethally stylish metal stiletto heels that take these metallic bombshells above and beyond.

icon

Totally gorgeous - I have been spoiled for gorgeous shoes today so much that while queuing today's posts my coffee has gone stone cold because I was so excited about the Monday picks!

There isn't much to say about these, other than if you do want golden subtle sparkle shoes, with bang on trend heel and toe features that are classic enough to stand the test of time, then you could do a lot worse than investing in a pair of these.

Sharon Slingbacks in Polaris by Giuseppe Zanotti

icon

Now we last met the Sharon style from Giuseppe Zanotti as a pair of liquid metallic pumps, however they have also now been released as a metallic nude slingback with a white and (concealed) golden platform - so let's take another look!

icon

The heel is still amazing, but I do love the delicate barely-there slingback and the neutral almost pearlescent nude metallic upper. They really are a beautiful shoe whether you go for the slingback or the court shoe version.

They really are, for me anyway, peep toe perfection.

Beccalynn Sparkly Platform Pumps by Enzo Angiolini

icon

These shoes come in three colours - white, dark purple, and black - which in my opinion make them look completely different, so I thought it was best to show all of them on Shoeniverse and see which ones you liked the best! The white would make for a beautiful pair of embellished winter wedding shoes - they really are probably over the top for daytime wear, but are a knockout for a winter bride!

icon

The dark purple were the first colour I saw, and whilst I do have something of an aversion to the colour purple, especially in footwear, these look classy and wearable.

icon

Then there is black, which of course is an evening stunner, and they are my favourite of the three. I would wear these shoes very happily in the evening, and I can see these could well turn into my go-to dressy shoes.

Which ones are your favourites? How would you style them? If you use any of these shoes in a Polyvore set, leave a link in the comments.
