My send off of 2012 comes in the form of these gorgeous hot PPP slingback platform heels from Kurt Geiger.

In so many ways these shoes epitomise why I love shoes to much. No they will never change the world, they won't make a bad situation instantly better, nor can they cure disease or end wars. But sometimes they do just make your day, and anything that does that in life is to be cherished for the glints of happiness that it brings.



Miley is a beautiful shoe. It also comes in a nude metallic and a pewter gunmetal finish metallic if the pink's not your thing. They were originally £140 and usually retail even on Shoeaholics at over £70, but are part of their £49 promotion, so if you want to grab them, this would be the time.

In a week choc full of sale alerts, I felt it was important before the final bargain of the week that we had a properly designer The Friday Luxe this week. I imagine you will have to agree that these peep toe lace booties from the creatives at Balmain are both madness and genius combined in the most delightful way. They have an equally crazy price tag too (£1077).



I do love them though, and whilst I have a Fashion BA I am not sure that I would ever have thought of lace over patent - but it's beautiful and perfect to look at. Also the flash of black patent and the zip back is an interestingly edgy feature on what it otherwise a very feminine boot.

Also they feature the ever impractical peep toe on a boot. Of course.




Plus they look amazing on.

ON SALE! Toy satin multi colour colour block sandals from Diane Von Furstenberg

Sadly the saving on these is not the half price that I wished for, but I had to show them to you because they are just completely darling! The Toy sandals from Diane Von Furstenberg and a sandal that would look great in the office or on holiday and the mix of colours and finishes make them extremely versatile. I am totally on love with the marriage of teal and hot pink, oh and the little flash of metallic gold. Genius!

Seeing the glossy patent heels make me love them even more! They really are a beautifully conceived and crafted sandal, and whilst they are not exactly cheap still at £192, they are reduced from £274 over at My Wardrobe, which is still a significant £82 saving.

I think this might be the first time that I have featured a louis heel on Shoeniverse, as most of the shoes that are featured tend to be stilettos. But I really REALLY like these, not just for the heel shape that is slightly Victorian, but also for the side detail. Oh, and naturally also for the gorgeous rich bordeaux red colour.

I thought I had better find a gorgeous pair of flats to add into the sale alerts, and when I saw these I just knew I had found the perfect pair. They have a subtle shimmer and a delicate pointed toe and a plain toecap. Really beautiful.



They also have a gorgeous gold metallic band around the heel which clearly sets them apart from any of the cheap high street ballet flats. Not that I have anything against a cheap pair of ballet flats, but these are a real step up in terms of quality. They are reduced down from £164 to £115 - so if you are a lady who loves her gorgeous flats this is a great time to grab them.

The last of the Boxing Day sale alerts comes in the form of these stunning jade green platform d'orsay ankle strap sandals from Sergio Rossi. I ADORE these shoes on so many levels, so to see them discounted too is a bit of a treat!



There isn't that much I can really say about them that you can't see for yourselves. They are a beautiful, stunning example of how to create a bright pump with killer feminine curves and an extreme amount of height.  They have a 5.5 inch heel, and I LOVE the watersnake leather in this colour. It just looks amazing!

Christmas Presents! Mini Bailey Button UGG boots in tea rose

I thought you might like to see my footwear swag for Christmas day - I have been after the Mini Bailey Button's for a while and when I saw the pretty pink 'tea rose' version, I started to drop some pretty hefty hints!

Gotta love UGG boots - my ultimate comfort footwear - I have several pairs and I LOVE all of them!

FESTIVE POST #3 Marshmallow welly boots at Office

FESTIVE POST #2 - Christmas Pudding clutch bag by Charlotte Olympia

OK so this is kind of ridiculous, but this will a) TOTALLY make sense once you see the Shoeniverse Christmas Day post (trust me!), and b) this is about as festive as someone is likely to get!



I actually find this bag quite amusing and would probably happily buy a cheaper version of it were I going to a Christmas Party and wanted to be able to get out of dressing up!

FESTIVE POST #1 Jingle Bell platform pumps by Charlotte Olympia

It's fair to say then that these gorgeous platform pumps from Queen of Quirk Charlotte Olympia is another winner in her long list of 2012 maverick designs. They are basically Dolly (ruffle) with a twist - that being an ankle strap adorned with jingly little bells. Can you actually get much more festive than that?



The upper of course is red velvet, sumptuous and rich and warming. They remind me of mulled wine, and make me want to wear them sat in front of the fire eating mince pies. Surely these are the best representation of Christmas shoes yet?



Of course with Dolly you can detach the ankle straps, making them much more wearable as an evening shoe throughout the year or even just so you can remove them once the novelty of jingling up and down the stairs has worn off. I do wish I owned a pair - I always cook Christmas dinner in heels and a Christmas outfit, and these are just to die for!
